We come on site for supply and installation. Usually we quote off a set of plans either PDF or hard copy. We can also measure up on site if necessary.
Where are you? Is it a new roof or a roof replacement? Do you have a set of plans you could send through and then I can come out to site.

Hi Ian, Thanks for your question.

Our IKO asphalt shingles come with a 20 – 40 year limited manufacturers warranty’s depending on the style of asphalt shingle purchased. This includes a three year “Iron Clad guarantee” which is the normal time in which any manufacturing defects will be seen. If any defects arise within this three year period full replacement and installation will be offered.

Just took a look at Boral’s guarantee and in my opinion it is a little narrow in scope. It warrants that Boral tiles will meet A.S 2049 with respect to strength and water absorption. If any tile fails this standard Boral will AT ITS DISCRESION, either repair or replacethe defective tiles, supply the equivalent tiles or pay for their repair, replacement or substitution.

Boral will NOT WARRANT :-
any colour change, shade variation or sheen/ sealer weathering.
Damage caused by walking on the roof.
Cleaning your tiles with chemicals.
Falling items.
Pollution.
Storms.
Tempest.
Any other products used to install your roof, valley iron, all flashings, mortar etc…

Not a lot in that warranty. If you want your concrete roof tiles to look good you will need to have them painted at a cost of several thousands and this process will need to be done every 5 – 10 years. This starts to cost a lot.

In my opinion a benefits of the asphalt shingle roofing system is that the roof is trafficable, the roof uses small clean flashings, not the unsightly large lead flashings and often rusted valleys that are on tiled roofs. There is no mortar that will need to be replaced over time. The roof will fade slightly but all as one and the colour change is not noticeable. After 30 – 40 years the asphalt shingle component of the roof “not the plywood base” can be replaced and on an average sized roof this can be done for $3000 – $4000. Not bad for a complete new roof. You are right! The Canadian "Western red Cedar" is the best wooden roofing product. When they are first installed these shakes look brilliant. After a few years they can start to deteriorate very quickly with the extreme Australian weather. When installing these products it is imperative to have excellent airflow as this enables the wooden shingles to dry out after a heavy rain. We have a Weatherwood colour asphalt shingle in the Cambridge range that is made to look like a wooden shingle roof but performs so much better. The cost of the Cambridge shingle is about 1/4 of the price of the Cedar. The Cambridge laminated shingle comes with a 30 year warranty. Asphalt Shingle Roof

Hi there, we are looking at building a Cabana and are chasing enough wood shingle for a roof 3.3 X 3.8 probably need to times that by 1.25 to take care of the pitch. So Approx 15.7m2, i have heard that canadian ceder shingle is quite good, but if you could give us some prices for different types of wood that you have avaliable
